On November 25, 2016, the region once again gained a music store.

After opening in Langgade in Nykøbing Falster in the fall of 2016, things moved quickly. The need and demand were clear and even in a time characterized by fierce competition from "online prices", we experienced that there were still customers who appreciated personal service, honest guidance and professional advice.

Even before the first year was over, the store moved to larger premises, and today you can still find us at Toldbodgade 11 in Nykøbing Falster. This is where our physical store with a large selection is located, as well as our own service and repair workshop.

Although these are still challenging times for small, local stores, we have seen a growing interest in shopping locally and in person in recent years. Our customers often say:

“How wonderful it is that you are here!”
“What would I have done if you weren’t here to save the day?”

And yes, we are still here because you choose us .
We are proud to offer the personal service and craftsmanship that you simply cannot get online.

Who is behind the helm?

Musikstart is a family-owned company, driven by passion and commitment, even if the funds are not the largest.

Henrik, who is the store's general manager, has many years of experience in the musical instrument industry and as a lighting, sound and stage technician. His knowledge spans a wide range - yes, almost everything between heaven and earth within music, sound and stage. Where he hides all that knowledge is still a bit of a mystery to some of us😉
But for you as a customer, it's a true gift - whether you're missing a guitar gadget, have no idea which cable to use, or are looking for the perfect beginner guitar for your nephew...

In 2022, Henrik's daughter Signe joined the store to shake up the simplistic advertising and website solution. As SOME, marketing and webshop manager, she is responsible for the website, webshop, social media - and everything that goes with it - on a daily basis. In addition, Signe is also the one who keeps track of the stock status in both the store and webshop.

Does that sound like a lot of tasks to accomplish during a workday? It is!
Therefore, small errors may occasionally creep in and we hope you will bear with that.
We would rather have a webshop with a little bias than none at all! Our webshop is an important part of people knowing that we exist and not least a good opportunity for trade, especially with you who live far away from a real specialty store like ours. There are very few of our kind left in Denmark, and we take great pride in having the opportunity to be here.
