Nux Atlantic is a combined delay and reverb pedal for electric guitar, offering 3 classic delay types and 3 equally classic reverbs. In addition, you get the now indispensable "shimmer" effect, which can add color and atmosphere to intros, interludes and endings.
Delay
On Nux Atlantic you get to choose between three different delay types:
60's (55ms - 550ms): A warm and dusty tape echo effect with a saturated analog sound. The repeat and time controls work just like on a real tape echo machine.
70's (40ms - 400ms): Retro delay with warm Bucket-Brigade echo
80's (80ms - 800ms): Digital delay with crystal clear repeats. The best choice if you don't want to color your signal.
With Smart Tap Tempo, you can sync your echo effect to the track you're playing. Simply tap the rhythm of the tempo with your foot. Speed ranges are 125ms - 1500ms for all delay types.
Reverb
Atlantic has 3 reverb effect types, and each type has a secondary effect that you can activate by holding down the reverb button.
Spring Reverb & Freeze: Spring Reverb is a classic “guitar amp reverb” with a polyphonic reverb effect very similar to the sound you hear when listening to the sound reflections from a large metal tank. You can adjust the size of the tank with the level knob and set the reflection distance with the decay knob. Holding the reverb button down “freezes” the reverb effect and it will continue until you release the pedal.
Plate Reverb & Shimmer: Adds flat, clean reverb reflections to your guitar sound. Very similar to the sound of a large, empty, flat-walled room. You can control the room size with the Level knob, then adjust the reverb with the Decay knob. Holding the Reverb knob will make the reflections warmer and swirlier, creating a Shimmer effect.
Hall Reverb & Freeze: Reverb very similar to the reverb you get in large halls or gyms. Holding the reverb button down will “freeze” the reverb effect and it will stay there until you release the pedal.
Optional internal signal path
With the NUX Atlantic Delay & Reverb Pedal you also have control over the internal signal path between the effects, allowing you to choose which effect comes first. In serial mode you can create a depth-flexible reverb with wet or dry echoes, or you can split your guitar signal and run both effects in parallel so they don't affect each other. Each effect will be mixed with separate dry signals.
