White-Box technology

The Mighty 20 MK2 is a so-called modeling amplifier, and this type of amplifier is characterized by the fact that it simulates legendary and popular guitar amplifiers and effects pedals from well-known brands. For example, you can choose an amplifier sound that resembles the sound of a Fender, Marshall, Soldano or another manufacturer and add effects that sound like effects from Ibanez, Boss or others.
The technology in the Mighty 20 MK that handles this process is called TS/AC-HD (White-Box), and it provides a more dynamic, natural and inspiring playing experience compared to conventional amplifiers!
The Mighty 20 MK2 is designed around a fully customizable 7-channel/preset interface with 8 effect blocks that can be arranged in any order you want. Each preset has three "Scenes", which are underlying variations of each preset, plus an "Active" function that makes it faster to select your favorite presets. This gives you the flexibility to shape your own sounds from the 21 amps, 13 overdrive/distortion pedals, 13 modulation effects, 5 delays, 5 reverbs, 3 compressors, 2 equalizers, 1 filter and the built-in Noise Gate. So a nearly endless number of sound possibilities to inspire your guitar playing.

New high-performance speaker unit!

High modeling quality is of no use if it is not supported by a precise and high-performance speaker. The new "G8-20 custom tuned" is an 8-inch speaker that has been specially developed for this amplifier to reproduce all amplifier models and effects optimally - with a dynamic and balanced sound at all frequencies. And if you want to use an external preamp or some effects pedals, the Mighty 20 MK2 works as a formidable effects amplifier and platform for your effects pedals. To do this optimally, you can deactivate the "Amp" block in the accompanying free app, which allows you to use the Mighty 20 MK2 as an effects amplifier without affecting the sound of your external preamp or pedal.

The power of Bluetooth and USB

The Mighty 20 MK2's control panel is simple and usable, but it's when you take advantage of the included Bluetooth module and the built-in USB ports that the amplifier delivers its full potential - not least through the use of the dedicated free app.
The Mighty Amp™ mobile/tablet app (Android/iOS) is accessible via the included NBT-1 Bluetooth module, which plugs into the USB-C port on the back of the amp, and once the two types of Bluetooth connections are established (Audio and App), the Mighty Amp™ app gives you access to all of the built-in modeling amps and effects, as well as preset parameters. The looper and drum machine are now also available and can be customized and used to your specific needs.
In addition to the app's built-in backing tracks, you can expand by importing your own backing tracks or play your favorite music by streaming it from your mobile phone or tablet.
The Mighty Editor™ PC application (via USB-B port) provides the same options for setting parameters and saving and exporting presets, but with the advantage of using your computer screen for a better overview.
But the great advantage of Mighty Editor™ is above all that it functions as an audio interface (sound card) if you want to record with the built-in speaker simulation, re-amp, live stream or perform firmware updates when necessary.
