Record PP-15 RIAA Turntable Preamplifier: A Must-Have for Every Turntable Player
Why is there no sound coming from my turntable?
A turntable delivers a relatively weak signal and therefore needs a pre-amplifier before the signal is sent into an amplifier (or a set of active speakers). Without a pre-amplifier, there will be virtually no sound from the turntable.
Previously, most amplifiers had a turntable input that housed a preamplifier, but for many years, many amplifier manufacturers have chosen to omit the turntable input. However, this doesn't have to make you put your turntable in the basement. Simply place the Record PP-15 between your amplifier and your turntable, and you're good to go.
Frame
In many turntables, the ground connection is established in the phono sockets, but this is not the case in all turntables. In some turntables there is a separate ground cable, which is why there is a thumbscrew for the ground cable on the back of the preamplifier. The ground cable is clamped on the back of the thumbscrew, and then there is no hum.
The Record PP-15 RIAA turntable preamplifier is a RIAA preamplifier that doesn't lack anything you need.
