sE Electronics DM2 is a microphone preamplifier, which is intended to be placed between a dynamic microphone and the microphone input on, for example, a sound card. It is used to boost the microphone signal, so that you can get more sound out of a passive microphone, which has a weak signal that is difficult to work with. The DM2 does this without adding noise or coloring the sound. You can optionally decide whether you want to boost the signal by 15 dB or by 30 dB, and the DM2 is equipped with an impedance selector with 8 settings, so that you can precisely adapt the microphone signal to the preamplifier.
Built in a sophisticated Class-A design, the DM2 is equipped with high-quality FET transistors. It is equipped with a dedicated output buffer amplifier, allowing it to drive long cables and reduce interference, hum and hum.
