STORY Again Again

Again Again is a Danish designed delay pedal that differs from many other delay pedals by being a bit over the top in the LO-FI pedals department, having some not so common features, and that it focuses a lot on the short delay (for example the slapback type) as well. Again Again is equipped with an oscillator button, which can make your echo run indefinitely, or at least as long as you have the oscillator button activated. In addition, the pedal has an additional feature that is not so well known - namely that you can connect an expression pedal, which can adjust the Time while you play.

Again Again is specifically designed to give you a very short delay (0-200ms) when the "shorter" button is activated. However, it can also produce a longer delay (200-400ms) when the "shorter" button is not activated. The short delay is often used as a slapback delay, which was the effect that was characteristic of the 1950s pop and rockabilly guitar sound. Slapback echo is still widely used in several different music genres, but is probably primarily popular within the country & western genre.
When you don't have the "shorter" button activated, you get a longer delay that is warm and analog in its expression. The signal degenerates subtly and continuously on all the repeats, giving you that lo-fi sound.

With the oscillator footswitch and exp. input (input for expression pedal) you can create sonic chaos, crazy noise art or adventurous soundscapes in your music. Again Again can easily be used as the only effect, but typically becomes even more effective and atmospheric together with other effects.

Again Again has a soft-click footswitch that limits the popping sound you often experience when activating or deactivating your effects pedals, which is especially beneficial in studio use so that the click doesn't get into the recording, but also when playing "vulnerable" guitar pieces live.
